GetResponse is a web based email autoresponder service that automates the task of sending scheduled, follow-up email marketing messages. It offers both a free version and an upgraded no-ad pay version “GetResponse Pro”.
Get Response is a complete AutoResponder, Marketing, and Statistics Service that is rated slightly above Aweber due to its price point and easier user interface.
Pricing
The pricing is easily comparable to all of the competitors, and far better than most. But it is definitely more reasonable than it’s biggest competitor, AWeber. ( see AWeber Review ). For being one of the most affordable services GetResponse could have had a full 5 star rating. However, the support was a bit lacking.

Campaign Customization Ability
GetResponse offers some of the most robust and leniant customization available today. If you want to insert PDF, video, or audio, it can’t get easier than with GetResponse‘s interface. And this ease goes a long ways when you are copying up dozens of messages for even more mailing lists. The time saved here is worth it’s weight in gold.
Another feature that sets GetResponse in alignment with the hype, is the sequencing and scheduling of broadcasts and solications. You a large range of options for how you want to contact your customers or readers. You can broadcast instantly, or preschedule several messages for days, weeks, or months down the road.
Tracking And Monitoring
GetResponse’s built in tracking is akin to Google’s Analytics. You are given and abundance of detail and an amazing amount of flexibility in reporting. In fact sometimes the information can seem overwhelming to those knew to marketing and research. all the basics are covered and then some.
If you find yourself confused, you will find it easy to find tutorials and other documentation on the uses of reporting and tracking. Enough that you can get started almost instantly and feel confident about mining the data.
Email Deliverability
They tout an impressive 99% delivery rate, so it’s apparent that they take your email blasts just as seriously as you do. I’ve read numerous reports that GetResponse can penetrate the inbox as effectively as Aweber. I can confirm these results. My emails arrive quickly and on-time without any spam issues.
Simple to Use
You can use GetResponse to perform split testing, where you create five emails with different designs and wording but the same essential message. GetResponse will test them and give you the results to tell you which design is the best one to use.
It’s easy to use GetResponse effectively to create professional email marketing campaigns and surveys. Its free, unlimited autoresponders are a great way to keep your campaigns going, and you can set up the messages to send when certain triggers happen, such as when contacts sign up for a newsletter, click on links in your emails and more.
Support
The Achilles heel of GetResponse has to be their support options. Some people have rated their customer support as top-notch, but I’ve come across a few that have had some complaints about GetResponse’s support services. It does seem as though the GetResponse team is aware of their customer support issues, as all signs indicate that they are starting to improve their customer service focus. It’s also possible I found the “picky-people” during my travels. After all, Aweber and other autoresponders get their fair share of negative reviews as well.
